You’ve probably noticed that a lot of my musings are based around motorcycles. This is a real passion for me. Right from the first time I ever got near a bike I’ve wanted one and now thankfully I have the bike I always wanted.
it’s taken me quite a while to build up to what I consider to be one of the pinnacle sports bikes on the road today, the Ducati Panigale. However, after owning my last bike for nearly 8 years it was a tough choice to actually buy it, much like never meeting your heroes I was worried that it might not meet my high expectations. Er, no chance. This bike is everything I wanted in a sports bike and then some, it makes me smile every single time I ride it and even just sitting there in the garage I can’t help giving it a little pet as I move around it.
My previous bike was an Aprilia RSV1000R and as you can see by the happy look on my face it was a difficult bike to let go of, I loved this bike but as the years of ownership went on the more maintenance it needed and with temperamental Italian machines that meant more and more expensive maintenance. I kept on top of as much of the work as possible, constantly fettling and checking and quite possibly obsessing but then that’s what you do as an enthusiast.
The time did come to part with it though and now I have this beauty to obsess over!
